CashPrice Health is not insurance.
Please read this carefully before joining the waitlist or enrolling. Transparency is the core of what we offer — that starts with being clear about what CashPrice Health is and what it is not.
What CashPrice Health is
CashPrice Health is a membership program. In exchange for a flat monthly (or annual) subscription, members receive direct, unlimited access to a Direct Primary Care physician and their care team, and pre-negotiated cash-price access to labs, imaging, and specialty care through a network of partners.
What CashPrice Health is not
- It is not health insurance.
- It does not satisfy minimum essential coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
- It is not a health-share ministry or a risk-pooling program.
- It does not pay claims on your behalf. For services outside the membership (including hospitalization, emergency room care, and most surgical procedures), you are responsible for the cost at the point of care.
What we recommend pairing it with
Most CashPrice Health members pair their CarePass membership with a high-deductible health plan, a catastrophic plan, or a qualifying health-share program to cover hospital stays, major surgery, and other high-dollar events. CashPrice Health handles the routine and acute care that a physician should handle — we leave the catastrophic coverage to products built for that purpose.
State availability
Direct Primary Care is regulated differently in every state. We are rolling out state-by-state to ensure every element of the CarePass membership complies with local regulations. Marketing materials on this site describe a future product; enrollment is not currently open.
Nothing on this page constitutes legal, medical, or financial advice. Prospective members should consult their own advisors regarding the suitability of a CarePass membership for their situation, especially in light of their existing insurance arrangements.
